China 101

Next week, I start a series of posts themed “China 101”. The articles
in this series will cover a wide range of topics relevant to foreign
businesses in China: what you should consider when deciding on your
legal entity, tax issues, quality control, negotiation – just to
mention a few.

In order to bring these articles to you I have contacted a number of
experts in different fields, and they have crafted their articles
trying to sum up all the basic information they feel you should know
about their areas of expertise.

If you are not already a subscriber, do not forget to sign up for the
regular updates on this blog

If you have a view, or some lessons learned, from your own “China 101”
days, do share it by commenting on the series.  And if you believe you
could contribute with your own article, just drop me a line.Have a nice weekend.

Insights and anecdotes based on in-depth interviews to successful expatriate entrepreneurs.

Business Leadership in China. How to Blend Best Western Practices with Chinese Wisdom” by Frank T. Gallo
Based on interviews and the author´s own China experience, brings a lot of insights on Chinese managerial styles and presents advice on how to blend best western management practices with Chinese wisdom.

FOREIGN ENTREPRENEURS IN CHINA

The Sound of Silence …

Those of you who follow this blog would have realized by now that it has gone silence for the last few months.

I would really like to apologize about it. Some unexpected development kept me out of China and/or fully focused on other priorities. I’m eager to resume writing about China, probably not that often in the next 2 or 3 months… back definitely back.

I hope you enjoy the upcoming articles.

New Page Added: Blog Index

In order to help navigation and topics search, I’ve added a page to the blog that will list all published posts and its links.
Blog Index
I will update this list once a month so for the latest posts you will still need to check “Recent Post” on the side navigation bar. Each post will come under one of the following categories (will probably add new categories in the future):
1. Rep Office/ WFOEs
2. Getting Started in China
3. Negotiating/ Dealing with Suppliers
4. Selling & Marketing in China
5. Intellectual Property
6. Human Resources
7. China Industries/ Business Strategy
8. Business Environment

Hope it helps… And enjoy the reading!
